Index Islamicus provides access to over 2,000 journals and series. Coverage includes 1906-present. A three volume index by personality, institution and subject to the critical bibliographies on the history of science published in ISIS from 1913 to 1965. References in the bibliographies are to items in books, journals, reports, documents, etc. An excellent starting point for researching a topic in the history of science. Material cited in the Index Islamicus includes not only work written about the Middle East, but also about the other main Muslim areas of Asia and Africa, plus Muslim minorities elsewhere. Over 2,000 journals are monitored for inclusion in the database, together with conference proceedings, monographs, multi-authored works and book reviews.
